Land Management
Planning and Assessment
Management Plans
With years of expertise managing thousands of acres of land, we use a science-based approach to create and implement realistic goals and objectives. We address wetlands, timber, fire, hydrology, protected species, invasive species, public use, and historic and cultural resources.
Whether simple or complex, Pandion can create a land management plan that meets your resource objectives and agency or organization needs.
GIS Site Analysis and Mapping
Using GIS as a tool for land management allows for better planning and decision-making through more accurate representations of natural resources and management needs. See our GIS and Mapping Services >>
Site Assessment and Inventory
Inventories and assessments are conducted according to local, state, and federal requirements. They often include habitat classification, plant and animal surveys, invasive exotic plant identification, wetland delineation, restoration and management needs, and mapping sensitive resources such as water bodies, rare species, archaeological sites, and geologic features. Our field teams are led by experts and equipped with high-tech GPS and GIS with the latest ESRI software for data collection, analysis, and mapping.
Land Acquisition Prioritization
When assessing natural areas for acquisition ranking, Pandion evaluates natural community quality and rarity, rare species, ability to actively manage the site, and landscape level values of connectivity, size, and edge. We have prioritized land management decisions for several Florida counties using a combination of GIS-based techniques, field surveys, and expert input.
